ESL/Beginner/Intermediate- Listening/Speaking:American Pronunciation Basics

A pronunciation class for high-beginning and low-intermediate students. This course concentrates on producing the proper North American English pronunciation patterns for vowel and consonant sounds, syllables, intonation and rhythm. Students will learn to produce and recognize the differences in sounds that are crucial for understanding and for being understood. Clear and simple basic English vocabulary, reading and speaking practice.





ESL/Intermediate/Advanced- Listening/Speaking:American Pronunciation Basics

A pronunciation class for students who want to achieve a more near-native accent. This course focuses on the clear pronunciation of English in North America and includes vowels, consonants, blended sounds, rhythm and intonation. Special attention on the reduction of unstressed sounds and the simplification of sound. This course combines ordinary vocabulary and advanced academic words. Students will practice the production of sound, while also improving their listening and receiving skills.

 

ESL Advanced American Culture and History - Levels 5/6

This challenging class is for Advanced ESL students who want to improve their English skills by studying American culture. It’s an exploration of American society and history using reading, movies, music and role-play.



ESL Advanced - Writing - Level 5/6

An advanced academic program designed to improve English writing skills using examples from English and American literature. Students will write personal and business letters, essays, etc. They will use written exercises to strengthen their command of grammar, paragraph development and punctuation.



ESL/Conversation/Café- Intermediate/Advanced

A wonderful opportunity to build confidence and fluency in English. Intermediate and advanced students practice speaking in small groups. Topics vary every session and include current events, culture, health, human interest and community issues.
