Popular believe is that celebrities in Los Angeles spend most of
their time hiding out in their mansions, away from prying eyes, this in reality
is far from the truth. Celebrity spotting in Los Angeles is an everyday thing if
you live there, but if your just visiting chances are you will not spot a star
without some help.
The only way you will be guaranteed spotting a celebrity is to either watch a
movie being shot, watch a Walk of Fame ceremony or visit one of the numerous
film premiers in LA. The only other way is to attend one of the annual celebrity
sports events listed on this page. Other than that just keep your eyes open
where ever you are in LA, stars turn up in most places sooner or later including
the theme parks.
Celebrities have a normal life when they are not working and can be seen going
about their daily routines throughout LA. They like you and I have their favorite
shops, restaurants & clubs etc. so a list of these will increase the chances
of you seeing a star, but bear in mind you are not guaranteed to spot a star
even in these places. Listed below are what is known as popular Celebrity
Hangouts, or in other words some favorite places of theirs that they frequent.
One other tip whilst you are in LA, if you see lots of photographers
hanging about outside of a building you can be sure that a star is inside.

Hollywood Stars Night at the Dodgers Stadium. This annual event takes place in July or August each year before a Dodgers match, so you will see 2 matches for the price of one. Los Angeles Equestrian Center. 480 Riverside Drive, Griffith Park, Burbank. William Shatner's annual Hollywood Charity Horse Show is held here in April or May every year. Loads of stars turn up here to raise money and auction goods. Also has Horse Shows and Rodeo's throughout the year attended by the stars who are in to horses'. Blockbuster Video, 23705 West Malibu Road, Malibu. Even the stars like to watch a film now & again, this video store is just along from the Malibu Colony gates in the Malibu Plaza Shopping Center.
